Wintermute Biomedical joined biotechnology and life sciences leaders from around the world at the BIO International Convention 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Wintermute Biomedical CEO Dr Tom Rau presented the Company's lead clinical programme, Solexan™, as part of the BIO Company Presentations programme.
His presentation, “Novel Ammonium Carboxylate Salt as High Potential Treatment Option for Shingles,” introduced Wintermute's patented, first-in-class topical antiviral technology and its potential to provide a new therapeutic approach for people affected by herpes zoster (shingles).
The presentation highlighted the development of Solexan™, including findings from Wintermute's clinical programme and the potential for a topical therapy designed to target the varicella-zoster virus (VZV) directly at the site of infection.
Participation at BIO Boston provided Wintermute with an important opportunity to present Solexan™ to an international biotechnology audience and engage directly with potential pharmaceutical, investment and development partners.
These conversations form part of Wintermute's broader strategy to build global relationships capable of supporting the continued clinical development and potential future commercialisation of Solexan™.
