Wintermute Biomedical at BIO International Convention 2026

San Diego, California | 22–25 June 2026

Wintermute Biomedical attended the BIO International Convention 2026 in San Diego, joining more than 20,000 biotechnology and life sciences leaders from around the world.

BIO is one of the biotechnology industry's leading global gatherings, bringing together pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, investors, researchers, regulators and business development leaders for four days of partnering, discussion and collaboration.

For Wintermute, BIO 2026 provided an important opportunity to progress discussions around the development and commercial potential of Solexan™, our investigational topical antiviral being developed for the treatment of herpes zoster (shingles).

Advancing strategic partnerships

During the Convention, Wintermute participated in a significant programme of business development and partnering meetings with pharmaceutical companies, investors and other organisations across the global life sciences sector.

These discussions provided opportunities to introduce Solexan™ to potential strategic partners, explore future development and commercialisation pathways, and build relationships with organisations that could support the programme as it progresses through clinical development.

The Convention also provided valuable insight into the evolving biotechnology investment and partnering landscape, including industry priorities across infectious disease, drug development and emerging therapeutic technologies.

Building global connections

Participation at BIO 2026 forms part of Wintermute Biomedical's broader strategy to increase international engagement as Solexan™ advances towards its next stage of clinical development.

We were pleased to connect with existing collaborators and establish new relationships across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and investment communities.

Wintermute looks forward to continuing these discussions as we work towards our goal of developing a new therapeutic option for people affected by shingles.
