Wintermute Biomedical Chief Scientific Officer Dr Alyce Mayfosh presented Phase Ib clinical results for Solexan™ at the EADV Congress 2025, sharing findings from Wintermute’s first-in-patient shingles study with the international dermatology community.

Wintermute Biomedical was proud to participate in the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Congress 2025 in Paris, where our Chief Scientific Officer, Dr Alyce Mayfosh, presented results from Wintermute’s Phase Ib clinical study in patients with herpes zoster (shingles).
The EADV Congress brings together dermatologists, researchers and healthcare professionals from around the world to share advances in dermatology research, clinical practice and emerging therapies.
Dr Mayfosh was selected to present Wintermute’s Phase Ib clinical findings as part of the Congress’ Late Breaking News programme.
Her presentation, “Arginine Undecylenate, a Novel Viral Entry Inhibitor, for the Topical Treatment of Herpes Zoster and Associated Pain: A First-in-Patient, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Phase Ib Study,” provided an international dermatology audience with an important first look at Wintermute’s clinical findings.
The study evaluated Wintermute’s investigational topical therapy in patients with shingles, including its safety, tolerability and potential effect on herpes zoster and its associated pain.
Presentation at EADV represented an important milestone for the Solexan™ clinical development programme and an opportunity to engage directly with clinicians and researchers working at the forefront of dermatological disease.
For Wintermute, the selection of our Phase Ib study for the Late Breaking programme provided an important international platform to share our emerging clinical evidence and contribute to the discussion around future approaches to the treatment of shingles.
