We're proud to share that Prof Jennifer Moffat and Dr Megan Lloyd of SUNY Upstate Medical University: Binghamton Campus presented Wintermute Biomedical's latest preclinical research at the International Herpesvirus Workshop (IHW) 2026, one of the world's leading scientific meetings dedicated to herpesvirus research.

The poster and talk, "Beyond Antifungals: GS-1 (Undecylenic Acid) Rapidly Arrests VZV and HSV Spread in Human Cells and Skin," highlighted exciting findings demonstrating Solexan (GS-1)'s antiviral activity against both varicella-zoster virus (VZV) and herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) in human cell and skin models.

We congratulate Jennifer and Megan on an outstanding presentation and thank our collaborators at SUNY Upstate Medical University for their continued scientific leadership.

Every dataset presented to the international scientific community strengthens our understanding of antiviral therapeutics and brings us one step closer to improving outcomes for people affected by shingles.
